Resolution Forgetting
The northern Ireland project was first inspired by a work called
The Day of Forgetting, 2000
‘The Day of Forgetting’
a piece created after visits to Sarajevo, Belfast, Hiroshima and other cities of major conflict. It is a proposal to change Remembrance Day to a day were we specifically forget harm we have caused others or harm they have caused us. We felt this to be a very appropriate way to honour those who died in conflict. Whenever we have an exhibition in a country we make sure this work is translated into the local language.
